Director of The Hobbit announced!
Liz and Valerie were concerned when it was announced, way back in the day, that Peter Jackson would not be directing New Line's upcoming adaptation of The Hobbit. After all, Pete had brought about the awesomeness that was Lord of the Rings, so who could possibly follow in his hobbit-sized footsteps to direct the prequel? Who could be better for the job?
Well, the celestial sphere has smiled on Liz and Valerie, for today the announcement of the new director was made:
Guillermo Del Toro.
He is, perhaps, the only person that could in fact be better for the job, and for that the world should be grateful. At least the part of the world that cares about such things.
